Familiengeschichte Graf von Prades

1341 wurde die Grafschaft Prades für Söhne des aragonesischen Königshauses geschaffen. Sie erstreckte sich über die sonnigen Hügel und Weinlandschaften Südkataloniens. Am Hof von Barcelona galten die Grafen von Prades als Inbegriff von Bildung, literarischer Eleganz und höfischer Kultur.

Viele Angehörige der Familie schrieben selbst Gedichte, sammelten seltene Handschriften und empfingen bekannte Troubadoure in ihren Residenzen. Zugleich investierten sie klug in Olivenhaine, Weinbau und ländliche Märkte, wodurch die Grafschaft wirtschaftlich aufblühte.

Das Haus Prades hinterließ ein königliches Erbe, das mit mediterraner Landschaft, Kulturförderung und weltoffener Lebensart verbunden bleibt.
