Family history Earl of Strathearn
Earl of Strathearn
The traditional name remained alive, however. British princes later bore it in several titles, including Queen Victoria's son Arthur. In 2011, Queen Elizabeth II bestowed the title of Earl of Strathearn on Prince William on the occasion of his wedding. Today, the name once again connects landscape, royalty, and more than nine centuries of Scottish history.
